The Second annual Moonstruck Music Festival will be held 4/30, 5/01, and 5/02.

Our first annual Moonstruck Weekend had over 1000 attendees. 22 bands from 4 states battled it off for the title of Moonstruck Battle of the Bands Champion. It was a total blast! We serve alcohol by wrist band in an enclosed tent.

This year attendees will be required to be at least 18 to enter the event area. Alcohol will be permitted throughout the event. We anticipate much more participation due to our change of date and active promotion to the college students of 5 nearby colleges including WVU. We are estimating 5000 participants.

Camping is available on site FREE for vendors and bands but attendees pay a fee. The event occurs on our 8 acre front lawn and camping is on our 300 acre farm.

Our building, a National Historic Landmark, has been features on channels like Sci-Fi, Country Music Television, and the Travel Channel. Since March 2008 we have received 40,000+ visitors from every state in the US and over a dozen countries.

All of this is in a strong effort in restoring the second largest hand-cut blue sandstone building in the world, second only to the Kremlin in Moscow.  You can read more about her history at www.talawv.com.

Hope to see you all this year.

All proceeds go to benefit the National Historic Landmark, Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. This West Virginia facility served as a sanctuary for the mentally ill in the mid-1800’s. The history of the building holds fascinating stories of Civil War raids, a gold robbery, the "curative" effects of architecture, and the efforts of determined individuals to help better the lives of the mentally ill.
